| HOW IT WORKS |
|
ROTO CROSS CUT system delivers a unique crossed and continuous partial cut of the stalks.
In each row over 100 radial knives interact with 10 axial knives during forward motion to partial cut the stalk both horizontally and vertically with a crossed and continuous partial cut that is axial and radial at the same time. |

The speed S1 pulls the stalk downwards by 10 horizontal knives per row, with the lowest peripheral speed in the market with a minimum impact for corncobs, optimizing the harvest. |
|
|
|
|
To improve stalks decomposition the speed S2, higher than stalk speed S1, makes a vertically partial cut of the stalks by the over 100 radial blades per row. |
|
|
 |
|
To optimize the harvest process the blades are specifically designed to catch the stalk in many opposite points at the same time thus causing less shaking than the traditional blade rolls, less stalks inside the combine and a higher harvest speed. |

STALK CHOPPER  |
|
A highly important mechanical note is the use,
in each stalk chopper unit, of a free wheel
which avoids overloads and heavy recoils.
The 2 rotating blades stalk chopper can be
engaged or disengaged (ON / OFF).
The forward position of stalk choppers covers
100% of the rolls’ pulling area. This system
assures an optimal chop of the stalks, which pass from the rolls directly to the working area of the chopper. |

(1) The ROTO CROSS-CUT corn head is equipped with tempered aluminium alloy gearboxes
that enclose power transmission to the stalk rolls, the chains and the stalk chopper (if required). The steel gears undergo a treatment of carbonising, hardening and drawing, constantly lubricated in an oil bath.
A characteristic addition is the modularity of the box, thus gaining in lightness and mechanical toughness.
(2) The stalk rolls may be with 5 sharpened knifes (2A) or steel heat-treated (2B).
(3) Each row unit is equipped with an independent adjustable clutch which protects it from overloads, thus avoiding breakages and ensuring safety and reliability under various harvesting conditions.
(4) Hydraulically adjustable deck plates let you quickly adapt corn head performance to varying harvesting conditions.
(5) The low power absorption stalk chopper mounted on each row unit is easily engaged and disengaged
